I Did Not Leave. I Was Pushed Out.

A letter from a HUD worker

I spent over a decade investigating housing discrimination. I took hundreds of complaints from families who had nowhere else to turn.

What is happening at HUD right now is not a policy disagreement or a routine reorganization. It is a systematic dismantling of the people and the office sworn to protect the public.

When workers are pushed out for doing their jobs, the people who lose are not abstract. They are tenants, families, and communities who depend on enforcement to mean something.
